As an international and bilingual educational programme (German and English) ISAPZURICH also invites well-known lecturers from abroad. They give lectures and hold seminars as part of our regular semester programme and during the Jungian Odyssey, an annual one-week crash course outside Zurich. The funds for covering the fees and travelling expenses for these outside specialists are limited and would have to be substantially increased to ensure the quality of education.
Every year some 20 speakers from abroad contribute to the ISAPZURICH educational programme with seminars and lectures. Inviting Jungian analysts from all over the world enhances the internationality of ISAPZURICH and increases students knowledge of the different approaches and movements in Jungian psychology. The openness to new trends and developments is quite crucial in keeping Jungian psychology alive and constantly improving its effectiveness. That is why these guest lectures and seminars are accorded a very important status in the educational programme.
So far, i.e. since its foundation in 2004, ISAPZURICH has not been able to cover any of the guest speakers travelling expenses and accommodation costs. To support ISAPZURICH in the initial phase all the guest lecturers made do with a merely symbolic remuneration. It is clear that this situation cannot go on for ever. ISAPZURICH cannot expect reputable and good speakers to carry on being prepared to make such financial sacrifices. Donations to Guest Lectures would enable ISAPZURICH to remunerate guest speakers better for the valuable work and to invite leading figures from various disciplines of key importance to the students education that would not accept without a minimum fee.
